Inventory Analyst

Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and enhance inventory management processes to increase efficiency, maximize accuracy, minimize discrepancies and reduce excess inventory.
  • Analyze and scrutinize data to uncover patterns, root causes, trends, and opportunities. Translate findings into actionable insights.
  • Proactively identify challenges within inventory processes and design innovative, data-driven solutions that maximize efficiency and accuracy
  • Conduct proper root cause analysis on all inventory discrepancies to be able to resolve discrepancies with front-line employees
  • Maintain inventory control records, reporting them to management on a regular basis
  • Lead meetings to present inventory insights, trends, and recommendations to stakeholders, fostering collaboration and alignment.
  • Collaborate with supply chain departments to align inventory strategies and share findings.
  • Investigate and perform cycle counts, virtual, aisle and annual audits to ensure accurate stock is monitored and maintained
  • Use warehouse management systems (WMS) and enterprise resources planning (ERP) tools
  • Ensure all inventory processes comply with company policies and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain adherence to safety protocols for inventory storage and handling
  • Update inventory data in systems and ensure data integrity

Required Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working in an inventory planning capacity
  • Experience in working in a Lean driven environment
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Self-motivated
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Existing knowledge of Warehouse processes and Inventory controls
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong problem solver
  • Expedite solutions in an effective manner
  • Knowledge of inventory management systems
  • Understanding of warehousing operations and logistics
  • Team player with excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Previous Oracle experience would be an asset
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Ability to work from 6 am to 2:30 pm weekdays
